Into the New

 

This has been a week to learn new things. Sometimes they can be scary. Sometimes they can be amazing. But always, they expand horizons, keep me on my toes and ensure I never get bored.

 

New Thing Number One  
I am being published in Brazil. This is so amazing to me. I’m more than excited to see my words translated into the beautiful Portuguese language, and can’t wait to hold that book in my hands. My lovely editor from Universo Dos Livros is already working on the translation, and we are hoping for a release date some time in the fall.

 

New Thing Number Two
Google Plus. Am I the last one to the party? I’ve finally managed to get my google+ account up and running. New Thing Number Three
I’ve recorded my first video, ready to upload to YouTube. I’m taking part in my lovely friend S.L. Scott’s read-a-long for her fabulous book The Resistance (if you haven’t read it yet, you should, and come join in the read-a-long). After about fifty tries and untold amount of laughter I’ve finally managed to get a passable recording of me reading an excerpt from her book. The wonderful new video will make its debut during the read-a-long on Facebook, but if I’m feeling brave, I’ll also post it here some time.
So there you have it. You can teach an old dog new tricks, particularly if they involve books. Have a fabulous weekend everybody. I’m off to a party tomorrow where, no doubt, I’ll learn a lot of new things ;)
