The Leviathans that Inspired Slumfairy

These days, when I see the word “leviathan” two examples immediately come to mind. The first is Moya fromFarscape. Moya was the stolen prisoner transport ship that became home to John Crichton and friends. She was massive–as the “Leviathan Transport” designation suggests, and full of mysteries.



Thanks to the likes of classic SF author Anne McCaffrey, an intelligent ship with a will and mind of her own is not such a new idea. A ship that actually gave birth though, that’s certainly one remarkab...
