Thoughts from the TFiOS Premiere!

In which Hank over-analyzes things and New York is fancy and weird.

message 4: by K.Rose (new)

K.Rose TFiOS movie may have been the first time in my life where I am 100% satisfied with a book-to-movie adaptation. It was perfect.
...
Okay, nearly perfect. I'm sad they cut your cameo scene. 99.9% perfect.

message 5: by Meg (new)

Meg Farrell It was an amazing adaptation. I could not have been happier with casting, pace, or events. Perfect.

Lauren omg. i loved it. just it was a brilliant adaption of the book.

message 9: by Emily (new)

Emily I used up a hole pack to tissues when I saw the movie...best movie my two eyes have every seen, and best book they have ever read.

message 10: by Marina (new)

Marina It was the best book-to-movie adaptation I have ever seen. It got all the right scenes and did not not miss important ones. The Fault In Our Stars is my favorite book EVER and I cried my eyes out while reading the book, and used a whole box of tissues during the movie. One word for both the book and the movie (more the book, though, because the book means SO MUCH to me): INCREDIBLE!

message 11: by Gretchen (new)

Gretchen I just want to tell you that from the second Agustus told Hazel that (spoiler spoiler spoiler) to the end, the only sound that broke the silence in my theater was sobs every couple of minutes. during the fake-funeral scene, a GROWN MAN actually went "You know what fuck this sad-ass movie." and left. Well done for writing a book that would lead so many people to feel so many emotions.

message 12: by Samantha (new)

Samantha My mum and sister hadnt read the book and they both loved it! not a dry eye in the theatre. I just wished that some of the lines were kept in it, like when Isaac is sharing his piece and instead of saying "I'll take the robot eyes because you can see up girl's skirts with those" and things like that but I rate the movie 5/5 and the book 1246896543/5

message 13: by Cal (new)

Cal When I went to see it, when Augustus told Hazel in Amsterdam, someone yelled "Dammit Gus why" and all you could hear was sobbing throughout the room after that.
