MY LORD ROGUE is out!
Ahoy, dear readers! I just got back from my first RT and oh! what a great time I had! Just before leaving for RT, the prequel novella for my Nelson's Tea Series, MY LORD ROGUE, debuted. The book chronicles the very beginnings of Nelson's Tea and how Lord Simon Danbury formed it with the help of a few friends and a forbidden love. Of course, Simon has a few demons of his own and Gillian Chauncey has a love that won't be denied. Woot!
As I recover from RT, here's an interesting story. When Duke by Day came out, a reader wanted to know who the next hero of my series would be. I told her Captain Guffald. She was quite surprised, which is exactly what I'd intended. But she posed something very curious. "When will Simon Danbury get his own book?" Truth be told, I hadn't thought much about Simon at the time, only that he was the very glue holding my clandestine group together. As ideas sprouted from her suggestion, MY LORD ROGUE, fleshed itself out and is now out there for my readers to enjoy. Huzzah! (Special thanks to Jayne Smith for making that happen!)
Even more interesting: When my editor read MY LORD ROGUE, she told me how much she adored Simon Danbury and said, "You must write him another novella." Of course, I was VERY happy to hear this too, because Simon and Gillian were rallying for their romance to ignite! I'm happy to say, I'm writing MY LADY ROGUE as I write this post. Woot! This novella proves to be much more steamy because Simon is now free to pursue his love for Gillian... or is he? (Wicked snicker!)
Some news: Sometimes authors and publishing houses separate because it's time to move on. This happened to me. All is good and I wish my previous publisher, and all the authors I've grown to love within that company, the greatest success. I just had a very different vision of how I wanted my historical pirates to journey into that horizon, me hearties. You've seen DUKE BY DAY, ROGUE BY NIGHT relaunch with EsKape Press Publishing. Prepare yourself for a new and improved THE ROGUE'S PRIZE set to relaunch in mid-July! With MY LADY ROGUE to follow sometime later this summer. The third installment of the series, THE ROGUE'S SURRENDER, is scheduled for an early 2015 release.
It's my hope to be able to reveal the new cover for THE ROGUE'S PRIZE by the end of June. So excited!!!
Can you believe 2014 is already almost half over? Where has the time gone?
Until next time, I do hope you'll give MY LORD ROGUE a try.
Blessings,
Katherine
