The Return Of Verena Vincent

Yes, it's true. I've brought her out of retirement. I've re-released my paranormal erotic romance novel that was banned under a new title, "Trapped with the Vampire." Personally I preferred the old one ("The Vampire's Last Virgin") but I suppose it did suggest that the heroine was underage. (She's twenty-two so just repressed.) I've put a disclaimer regarding the change in title in the description so hopefully no one will buy it thinking it's a completely new novel. This is unlikely considering it didn't sell very well, but you never know. I hate upsetting readers.

"Mona's Honeymoon Fantasy" the third book in the Delta of Venus series will also be coming out this week. Not sure what the price will be yet. Either 99 cents or free for the first few days anyway.

This will be the first book I've published in almost a year, so I'm a little nervous. I feel like I'm not as good a writer as I was pre-Cancer. "The Love Laws" tanked so badly that I've lost some of my confidence. Which probably contributes to the fact that it has taken me so long to complete all the various projects I've been working on.

I like DOV 3 a lot but that doesn't mean the public will. The hero is sexy and funny, big and superhot. Just the way I like them and there's some plot involved as well. Always a challenge in a novella. And a few hot love scenes too.

This book also marks a lot of milestones for me. In the last few months I had my final chemo room appointment, my final regular oncologist appointment and I had my port catheter removed. So that journey is finally over and my hair is looking fabulous and weirdly curly. So life is looking pretty sweet to me right now.

Part of that is you guys, the readers. You make everything better.

McGee Magoo Is "Trapped..." up on Amazon yet? I can't find it. And I CANNOT wait for the new DOV.

I have to say something here about Love Laws. I've read your TL books and enjoyed them very much. But Love Laws was the one I absolutely LOVED. 5 stars.

I'm going to think on this for a bit and come up with a review to do it justice. Also, I'm going to remind my freebie-finder-hoarder friends that they have these books on their kindles and to give them a go. You've been very generous and offered your books free many, many times.

I'm happy to hear that you are doing well, don't lose confidence, you are a great writer!

Tamara Larson Hi Shannon,

Wow. You have no idea how much your kind words mean to me. I've really been struggling lately with whether it's worthwhile to continue publishing or not. But it makes me feel better to know that at least a few people didn't think "The Love Laws" was a disappointment. Thanks so much.

Yes, Trapped is available on Amazon. It went live again last night. Might take until this afternoon to be available everywhere. I really hope you enjoy it.

Janey Pretty much everything Shannon said I agree!, I also loved "the love laws", I usually write reviews on goodreads but not on Amazon UK, but I did for this book so it must have been good!, you carry on doing what you love, not many of us get to do that. x

Tamara Larson Hi Janey,

Just checked out your review at Amazon.uk. Thanks so much. I still can't believe that people are willing to say such kind things about my work. People other than my mom and close friends who I think are vaguely shocked at what I write. (Part of the fun.)

And yes, I am doing what I enjoy and that does make me very lucky. I also get to communicate with people all over the world and hopefully bring a little bit of laughter and romance into their lives. That alone makes it worthwhile. At least most days.

Thanks again, Janey. Hope you are doing exactly what you enjoy most too.

McGee Magoo My Email notified me about a blog post about the new DOV, but the post isn't found. But it still let me know to check for it and I read it yesterday! OMG, I LOVE that she was a former BBW. Her insecurities that went deeper than her body issues really hit home with me. I loved that! I'm totally on the hook for these Delta of Venus stories. Smokin' hot!

Tamara Larson Whew!!! Glad you liked it. That's exactly what I meant when I said you guys were reading my mind a few blog posts ago. I had just finished DOV 3 and it was like you knew where I was going with that book. I thought about making her a current BBW but wanted to make the point that insecurity is about more than just what the scale says.

As always, thanks for the feedback Shannon. Love hearing from you.

Tamara Larson Here's something interesting. The "adult content" filter was applied to "Trapped to the Vampire" so it was almost impossible to find. Even if you typed in "Trapped with the Vampire" it wouldn't come up. The only way to find it was through my author page.

So I emailed the powers-that-be and they once again wouldn't specifically tell me what was causing my book to be lumped in with the truly graphic stuff. I asked again and it turns out that it was the cover causing all this controversy. So "Trapped" now has a strategic black bar over Daniela's chest to cover her very offensive side-boob but it is available. (Free June 11)

McGee Magoo Crazy! Amazon's got some beef with this book! I hope it continues to be available and they don't think of some other ridiculous hoop you need to jump through.
