Last night Carol and I watched one TV program about anthropology immediately followed by another on evolution. The first had to do with the variety of beliefs and assumptions underlying various cultures, and the application of anthropological knowledge to the treatment of foreign immigrants who think of disease and treatment in very different terms than Western medicine.
