A short note of gratitude

Indie Author Land announced today the winning titles for the “50 Self-Published Books Worth Reading”.

Unfortunately, my novel “The Necklace of Goddess Athena” didn’t make the list.  Two other books of fellow authors that I had been rooting for, didn’t make it either; much to my surprise as they are both commercial hits, published by the innovative and very successful hybrid publisher, Booktrope.

Having said that, I guess it is all to be expected. There are thousands of published indie books out there and a great number of them are terrific ones that surely deserve some recognition. Putting things in perspective therefore, if anything, I’m still amazed that my debut novel even made it to the shortlist!

From this blog, I wish to congratulate the winners and I give myself a pat in the back for competing.

Last but not least, I wish to thank all of you who have supported “The Necklace” with your votes. You guys are the best!
