I agree with all of that. Short Round is awesome, next to Indy himself he's one of my favorite characters of the series. His chemistry with Indy was great and I too was always disappointed we never saw more of him after TOD. Having him back in KOTCS instea

In my dreams, I see a fifth Indiana Jones film with Harrison Ford — I don’t care how old he is, let him do a little bit more archaeological puzzle solving — and in this fifth film, Indy and Shorty get back together to track down Mutt, who’s disappeared on an adventure. Would make great character conflict, and Shorty, who’s older than Mutt, would have a bit of a side eye for Mutt. Or, perhaps, it turns out that Shorty was found by an adoptive family, and that Indy let him go for the boy’s own good. And now grown Short Round gets to adventure with Indy once more, and appreciates what the old man did for him. Would make for great character interaction at the very least.
