Curling up to really good romance is one of the best feelings. Getting lost in the story, loving (or loathing) the characters, and escaping into another world are things I anticipate when I reach for my Kindle. Book series and trilogies are at the top of my list of romances to read first; the story continues over several books and I get to savor the characters and their connections for a little longer. However, I know the story is going to end. It's sad, but true. The story always ends (happily of course), and I know there is another steamy love story waiting for me with baited breath. That still does not make me feel any better about saying goodbye. I now realize why I love soap operas so much. . .even though the story lines are repeated over and over, they never end. Why can't romance novels be more like Days of Our Lives? Hey, I never said I was a purveyor of fine daytime TV.
