Web of Destinies - New novel to be published on the 8th of May 2014

One date, 7 destinies woven into an intricate web: 

8th May 1945: World War 2 ends, millions of people cheer and dance in the streets. 

8th May 1980: Guillaume Chambon is born in Gevrey-Saint-André, a village famous for its Burgundy Grand Cru wines.

8th May 1990: As Guillaume prepares to blow his ten candles, he receives a phone call: his sister Bénédicte, who was living in Laos with her Laotian husband, has died in labour. 

8th May 2012: Guillaume is now an obstetrician at a Paris hospital, his dream is to join Doctors Without Borders to stop women from meeting the same fate as his sister. He doesn’t know it yet, but his grandfather Louis has passed away; in his attic is a mysterious typewriter that can change the past. It will transform the destiny of Guillaume, his friend Sylvie, Aaron, an Israeli secret agent and Lien, a Vietnamese woman living in Australia. 

The Master, a Buddhist monk, knows that if the typewriter falls in the wrong hands, the fabric of the universe is in danger of collapsing. He uses a magic crystal to see what is happening in Guillaume’s life, but who will be able to stop Aaron from getting the typewriter?  Un jour, 7 destins tissés dans une toile complexe : 

8 mai 1945 : La seconde guerre mondiale se termine, des millions de personnes célèbrent la victoire et dansent dans les rues.

8 mai 1980 : Guillaume Chambon est né à Gevrey-Saint-André, un village célèbre pour ses vins de Bourgogne Grand Cru. 

8 mai 1990 : Quand Guillaume se prépare à souffler ses dix bougies, il reçoit un appel téléphonique: sa sœur Bénédicte , qui vivait au Laos avec son mari laotien, est morte en couches. 

8 mai 2012 : Guillaume est maintenant un obstétricien dans un hôpital de Paris, son rêve est de rejoindre Médecins sans frontières pour empêcher les femmes de subir le même sort que sa sœur. Il ne le sait pas encore, mais son grand-père Louis est décédé; dans son grenier. il y a une machine à écrire mystérieuse qui peut changer le passé. Il va transformer le destin de Guillaume, son amie Sylvie, Aaron, un agent secret israélien et Lien, une femme vietnamienne vivant en Australie .

Le Maître, un moine bouddhiste, sait que si la machine à écrire tombe dans de mauvaises mains, l'univers est en danger de s'effondrer. Il utilise un cristal magique pour voir ce qui se passe dans la vie de Guillaume, mais qui pourra empêcher Aaron d'obtenir la machine à écrire ?
