So a couple of months ago, the e-book for Black Widow: The Name of the Rose by Marjorie Liu and Daniel Acuña was on sale. The story sounded interesting, and I always like a bargain, so I downloaded it to read on my tablet. Hmm. It was an interesting experience. The story was good, and the art was cool. Overall, →
If I'm going to read a graphic novel, I want it on paper, in my hands, I love them and like to have them around. On my iPad is no comparison, the images are good, but I like to examine them closely over and over. It's not the same on my iPad, even enlarging them doesn't help. It may be my imagination but print seems crisper and cleaner. Maybe I'm old fashioned but paper is still my preference, touch, smell, weight in my hands...ahh.
I think I would have had a better experience reading it on something larger like an iPad. But yeah, I think this is one case where print wins out for me.
