Hello World!

I am excited to finally be starting my blog for my Middle Grade books! I have lots of fun stories to tell and while I have one book out already, I'll have an audiobook and two-three more books coming out in 2014! Exciting!
Here's what I have planned:

But first, let me introduce myself to ya.
My name is Alexandra Cross, but I have a bunch of aliases. I write books for young adult - adult readers under Ali Cross. And I write books for middle grade readers under Alex Banks.
Where'd I get "Banks" from? It was one of my dad's middle names. All of his brothers have two middle names--my dad's full names was John Ramsay Banks Nelson. Nelson was my married name. 
I decided I wanted to make a pen name for my middle grade books so it was easy to tell which of my books were "clean" and for younger readers, and which were for older readers. But I also wanted the pen name to still be "me". I would have just used Alex Cross but in case you didn't know, "Alex Cross" is a super famous character in a bunch of books with his name on it. I didn't want people to confuse me, "Alex Banks" (a real person who writes books) with "Alex Cross" (a fake person who solves fake crimes). Whew! Confused yet? Sometimes it confuses even me!
