Introducing UNCOMMON MAGIC

News! News! From last week's rights report in Publishers Weekly:
Reka Simonsen at Atheneum has acquired North American rights to R.J. Anderson's middle-grade fantasy, Uncommon Magic, plus an untitled sequel. They star a Veronica Mars-type girl who joins forces with a mystery-loving street boy to solve a murder in a 1930s-style city driven by spell power. It’s slated for fall 2015; Josh Adams at Adams Literary negotiated the two-book deal.
I know Fall 2015 seems like a long way away, but I am working feverishly on finishing the first draft of Uncommon Magic at this very moment, and I promise that my lovely new editor and I will do the very best to make it worth the wait. I'm thrilled to be getting the chance to share Isaveth and Quiz's story with all of you!
