Day 1!

I’m back on day 1 again. My doctor warned me that this would be a very painful procedure. I have been taking a pain pill every 2 hours since the surgery and yet the pain has still been pretty severe. I can’t imagine how bad it would be without the medication.

Last night around 2 AM I was in severe pain and found myself complaining. Ironically, the complaining did nothing to lessen my pain. Imagine that. LOL!

So, I began to repeat the words “Thank You” over and over until I fell asleep.

I am 54 years of age. When my father was 52, he was in a traffic accident and lost the use of his right arm forever. When I catch myself wallowing in my pain I think of him and his inspiring example and I am truly grateful.
