What's happening with Mark and Quinn

Trisha Harrington very kindly created a group for Mark and Quinn. If you're interested, you can find it here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

As you may know, Dreamspinner has declined to publish the remaining three books. I'll be publishing these on my own, and they have a new series title, since Mark and Quinn's relationship is no longer adversarial: Mann of My Dreams. ;-) I've got a fantastic cover artist, and I'm working with an editor as well. I want to give my readers the best product I can.

To get a look at the newest cover, and for some tidbits about the book, you can check it out here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Thank you! Soon, I hope, but meanwhile I'm working on a Christmas in July short that will go up on my site. (It's about Pat, aka Damien, the Antichrist. ;-) )

Kelly (Maybedog) Why on Earth would Dreamspinner not publish these? They're very popular and excellent!

Thank you so much, Kelly! I really appreciate hearing that.

Dreamspinner felt the direction I planned to take the last three books was too mainstream. I'm sorry they felt that way (and I'd swear there are other series on their website that are even more mainstream than MoMD) but it's their sandbox.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting to see if they'll accept another series. I've learned my lesson though. That series will have a different pairing for each book, with just references to the original couple.

Kelly (Maybedog) That's totally bizarre about it being too mainstream. They're a gay couple in contradictory jobs who have pimps as friends and sometimes kill people. Whatever. People will still buy it. Where can I get a copy?

message 6: by Tinnean (new)

Tinnean It's available on Smashwords, B&N, Amazon, ARe, and MyAwesomeFans.

Here's the link for Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

Thanks, Kelly. :-)

Kelly (Maybedog) Thank you!

Driima Just finished reading 1-3 for the second time - still and even more LOVE ❤ LOVE ❤ LOVE ❣❣❣ and now I finally bought
#1 of MomD. But before starting that, I think, I'm going to read through the Mann of My Dreams Sidebars. Never knew it was out there!

Thank you! I'm so pleased you enjoyed it enough to read it again. I'm expecting to have the second Mann of My Dreams fairly soon. Edits are almost done, and then it's off to be formatted and released. :-)

la' its an amazing/incredible/marvellous/mind-boggling book, and i really.. really... really cannot get enough of it but....(apology for bringing such apocalyptic conjunction)...but i really wished it were in third person PoV...or from either one PoV...sometimes it all got so confusing and at more than one occasion, i skipped over the next PoV just to devour it already....its like being so famished and watching your food being prepared from scratch again and again...i know not a good analogy but hear out this screech of my victimized heart please....*puppy eyes*

but sincerely, merci/gracias/danke/gamsahabnida/Arigatō/tak/toda/thankyou for your hard work....keep it up :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

I understand what you're talking about. Some books want to be told in third person, but some insist on first person.

Wait until you get to the last book, Complications By the Number. That one starts in 3rd (remember the woman and kid from Black Coffee?) and even The Boss has a chapter. But then Mark grabs the reins and takes off. ;-)

Andrews Leal Hi Tinnean,

First of all, I am writing to thank you and also tell you how great your books are!
I love Mark and Quinn. Sometimes I forget they aren't real persons and find myself imagining what would they do in certain occasions or remembering certain parts of your books. Like the other day I went horseback riding and caught myself laughing when I remembered all the trouble Mark had the first time he went horseback riding with Quinn and Portia.
Thank you so much!
I do have a question for you.
Are you writing more books about their story in the future?
The last one I felt like you would. I mean the whole Quinn's work situation....
Oh, btw, I know it's too much to ask but I'd love reading more parts where Mark bottom for Quinn. hehe
I mean, reading about such a strong man and realizing men like him sometimes surrender to their lover... well, suffice to say I caught myself imagining that a few times too (between Mark and Quinn)!
Sorry about my english, even though I studied it my whole life, it's not my first language and sometimes I know I make stupid mistakes.
;)

Hi Andrews!

Thank you so much for your kind words about Mark and Quinn. I can't tell you how pleased I am that you think of them as real people. :-)

I have two more stories planned for them. The first one, You Were Made for Me, has been very rough going, but I finally finished it. I'm waiting to get it back from Gail, who betas for me, and then I'll send it off to my editor. And it's funny you should mention Mark bottoming for Quinn. This book actually has a scene where that happens.

Although I'm not sure if I'll go deeper into the mystery of the missing Confederate gold, (I might save that for a Sidebar and put it up on my site) the final book, Complications By the Number, should tie up most of the loose ends. Do you remember the kid from McDonalds in the Black Coffee chapter of Not My Spook!? He'll be putting in an appearance, as will Dr. Gautier and Deuce from Best Laid Plans. If there's one thing I love, it's bringing together characters from various books. ;-)

One last thing, your English is excellent, and I never would have guessed it wasn't your first language.

Thank you again for taking the time to write.

As ever,
-Tinnean
