Fourth Doctor Cosplayer Ziplines for Charity!

A courageous cosplayer has dressed as the Fourth Doctor – and jumped off the Tyne Bridge, Newcastle! But don’t worry; it’s all for charity.
Andrew Younger donned the get-up and zip-lined from the 59m bridge for the charity, One Tiny Life, which helps to care for over 700 premature and sick newborn babies and their families each year. As he jumped, he managed to fight the fear and yell, “Would you like a jelly baby?”
He completed the look with – what else? – the Fourth Doctor scarf, donated by official licensee, Lovarzi. It looked like it might have to be taken off, however; Andrew told Crave:
“Everyone seemed to think it would look better without the jacket and at first I thought I was going to have to lose the scarf as well. Luckily the health and safety guy agreed that it just wouldn’t be Doctor Who without it and we managed to secure the scarf within the harness. I think he was a fan.”
Well, who isn’t a fan these days?!
He managed to raise 76% of his £500 target, but it’s only the first stage of his charity challenge. He will also be completing in the Baltic Slide in July, and the Great North Run!
So please give generously! You can donate over at JustGiving or simply text TWHO74 followed by either £2, £5 or £10 to 70070. Oh, and if you’re eyeing up that Fourth Doctor scarf, you can get one from Lovarzi.
