I have been blessed in my life to be surrounded by Mothers. Some who have been all my life, some that started as sisters and blossomed into them, some that are Mothers of Mothers, some I take photographs of, some I take photographs with, some that I see every day, some I haven’t seen in far too long. To all of you, and to my Mom especially, thank you for all you have taught me. Thank you for showing me grace, for teaching me patience and compassion and how tender hands can still be tough. For showing me what it is to be selfless, even when it hurts. For the quiet and constant knowledge that hearts can be split and keep beating inside the chests of those you love. Happy Mothers Day.
