Hey everyone, its Jeremy. I'm hijaking the blog for a very special book.
I'm not here to talk to you about Destroy Me. If you want to find out about Aiden and Becca's baby, or if I've made any progress with Cameron, you'll have to wait until the end of the summer. No, I've taken over K.D.'s blog to interview my other favorite author, Nyrae Dawn. Her books speak to me, and not just because of the smoking hot cover of Rush. They make me feel like it's not just ok to be different, but they show me that everyone feels like an outcast sometimes.
Nyrae Dawn ND: Thank youMost of your characters can be considered outsiders, what draws you to these characters?
ND: This is a great question. I’m a huge fan of flawed characters who have a lot more going on than they let onto the world. Even if they have a group of friends, inside a lot of them are outsiders. Their feelings often feel more raw to me. I find it easier to dig deeper with them because there are just so many layers!
Rush's story obviously holds a special place in your heart. What do you hope your readers get from it?
ND: That it’s not just okay to be who you are, it’s important, and that there is nothing wrong with who that person is. That love is love, and it’s a beautiful thing. That we aren’t defined by any one thing, or what other people think.
Where do you get your inspiration for your novels?
And now for that smoking hot cover...
ND: It is pretty hot, isn’t it?
It's out now. Here's where to buy:Amazon
