Most of the characters are a mixture of several people wrapped up into one package.
For example Sandy has the physical attributes and family background of my high school sweetheart but the first name and personality traits of my sister.

I am sorry to say she hasn't Teresa. She passed away a few years ago.
I am sorry to hear that because this book would have really impressed her. You have mentioned her a few times so I was just curious.
