Behind the Scenes of Conchita's Eyes

When writing Conchita's Eyes I used real places. All the places and businesses in the book are or were actually there. Some has went out of business now and are gone.

Certain scenes are true such as Chapter 2 where Wayne is fishing with the local indians of Venezuela. I actually was in that boat with them when working there years ago.

On a sadder note, the attack scene in the chapter INNOCENCE LOST, one of my very close friends was found murdered. The scene is similar only Conchita survived. That case is unsolved to this day.

More of behind the scenes tomorrow.

Teresa Clark Allen you did an excellent job writing this novel. In the chapter Innocence Lost was very emotional for me because Conchita was beaten and tortured the same way that my best friend was but she did not survive the beating. Your writing talents made me feel like I was right there with the characters in the story. I hope that you continue to write because I want to read more of your books. I love the way you write and keep the readers attention through the entire book.
