Chapter 126: Not of Heaven
“Do they have a district? Or an encampment?” asked Tamaes, who had to skip every few steps to keep up.
“War and weapons are not of heaven,” Taweel explained. “The Forgers dwell in Time.”
The boy skidded to a standstill. “We are going into Time?”
“Yes.”
“Just us?” Tamaes checked.
“You are no longer bound to the encampment. Your courses are mine to direct.”
Tamaes was so happy, his throat ached from holding back a song.
Taweel lowered his voice. “Unless you are … unready?”
Tripping over his own feet in his eagerness, Tamaes exclaimed, “We are going into Time!”
