Thursday Three
Three movies I saw last weekend, one at the theatre and two on the Blu-Ray.
Transcendence, which I already made happy noises about.
Safe, with Jason Statham. I really like Jason Statham in action movies. This one actually had a plot wrapped around the action and I loved the ending.
Rush, with Chris Hemsworth. I'll admit that I watched the movie for Thor himself, but wound up enjoying it for the story -- all the better because it was based closely on a true story. And man, they did an amazing job matching actors to the real people they played!
Three movies I want to see this weekend, one in the theatre and two on Blu-Ray
Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the first Captain America is one of my least favorite of the Avenger series, but I liked the character way better in the Avengers, so I'm hoping I like this one better, too
Elysium, the moving camera technique always gives me a headache, but I'm hoping it'll be overcome by the story.
Red 2, the first one made me laugh and I enjoyed it a lot -- it was everything the Expendables should have been but wasn't -- and I'm looking forward to this sequel.
Three movies coming out in May that I want to go see
Godzilla, I actually enjoyed the 1998 version and am looking forward to this one. Big monsters destroying things is good, mindless fun.
X-Men: Days of Future Past, even if that is a silly title, Hugh Jackman overcomes any drawbacks
Maleficent, gotta love a movie staring the baddie!
