Life isn’t fair. No one gets to just be what they want, do what they want, or get what they think they desire. The odds are against us every step of the way. Fear is the world’s greatest flat tire for human beings. 

When I’m afraid of something, I get mad, which fuels my motivation to find a solution. Fear of failure can also a great motivation. 

So, why continue the struggle to be a full-time writer? It’s a near impossible goal to achieve. Because I fear what will happen to me if I don’t.

And it’s not like I have “the rest of my life” to do it. I’m on the clock RIGHT NOW.

I don’t want to be a never was.
