POETRY WRITING PROMPT #26 of 30

Make a list of 15 daily tasks/chores you have to do, i.e. take out the trash, walk the dog, make the bed.

Make a list of 15 more things you need to do that are like chores, but more sporadic: get an oil change, plant tulip bulbs, polish the silverware.

In today’s poem, I want you to assume that everything we do in this world is motivated by love. Consider my favorite quote from Mad Men:

"Lovely Megan, I went to buy a light bulb. When I get back, I’ll see you better."

Like the above, write a poem where all the daily tasks and annoying things you might have to do are done for love. Hold a lightbulb to it. See it better.
