Hey I always wondered if you ever wrote a character as LGBTQ but couldn't get editorial approval to just be outright with it, for whatever reason, so you just went super subtle and got one past em?

I have snuck stuff past editors in the past but they are mainly contextual things, I would say.

If I want to write an LGBTQ character, I am not going to hide it, that feels very wrong. What I have done in the past is, I just go ahead and do it, and then if they want me to remove the character, they would have to ask me to remove the character, which they are reluctant to do, so the character gets in!

But again, I just haven’t had this problem at DC. Whenever a bit of anxiety about it comes up, it’s been elsewhere.
