The enemy’s first line of attack, typically, will not be bold or obvious. Instead, he will advance into your thoughts quietly, with whispers. His first work is to disarm you so that you accept a passive spirit. This spirit will mimic the “rest of God,” but it is not God’s rest. It is the opposite. Your defensives are quietly being overrun while your voice is rendered prayer-less. If you find yourself feeling almost drugged spiritually, stand up, submit yourself to God. Then with authority, audibly confront the enemy in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. – Francis Frangipane
