I have to admit I've never been much of a fan of fae, mainly because they kind of freak me out. Well, at least the stories that I feel reflect the reality of the fae--the beautiful but crewel and amoral (if not evil) version thereof. They're just a little...creepy. Anyhow, this book really brought that home, and the goblins as they're called here are distinctly creepy. That being said, I really enjoyed the book. The myths and stories that explained the world were really well done and quite engaging. I liked Teagan quite a bit, and her brother was just too cute. I could have handled getting to know Finn a little more, but I imagine there's more to come in the rest of the series. Overall, this was a fun and satisfying read. Lots of interesting details and an interesting world to get lost in!
