Weekly Writing Challenge: Fifty

This short post, an entry into TDP’s Weekly Writing Challenge, is a very large milestone for me. It is so large that I can’t see over it or around it: this is the biggest milestone ever seen … It may look perfectly normal to you – to anyone – but it marks a period of my life that I have, finally and irrevocably, now brought to an end.
