Welcome to the Authors in Bloom Blog Hop on Erotic Notions
In my erotic fantasy - Capri's Fate – Thall decides to surprise Capri with making dinner. He finds a cook book and then chaos ensues in her kitchen as he's never cooked before, doesn't understand the directions and can't find any ingredients.   Excerpt - (I kept it G rated. If you want to read the hot excerpt - see tab above - Capri's Fate - Hot excerpt) Inserting the key in the lock, she opened her door. Capri stepped toward the foyer and glanced around. The sweet aroma of flowers tickled her nose. The room was exactly as it was supposed to be, except one thing. Thall was no longer asleep on the couch. The bang of a pot drew her attention to her kitchen. Peering around the corner, Capri stifled a giggle. Her first impression, Thall was attempting to cook dinner. Her second, it wasn't going well. Pasta, garlic, flour, a bottle of olive oil, an unopened package of chocolate chips, bottles of spices, sugar, two cake pans and several pots were scattered across the kitchen counter.Thall glanced up from a book lying on the table. "There's no food in your kitchen. How the heck do you eat?" He rubbed his hand over his hair. "I was going to make supper. Spaghetti and chocolate cake. Your favorites."He rose from the chair, crossed the kitchen, grabbed the package of pasta and waved it at her. "Spaghetti you got.""Yay me.""But for sauce you need—" He returned to the book he was reading and ran his finger down the page. "Olive oil. Got it. Garlic. Got it. And some spices. What you're missing is: onions, basil and mushrooms."Capri pulled open the cupboard door on her left, reached inside and pulled out a jar. "Ahem."He glanced up from the book. His eyes narrowed, glaring at the jar she was holding."If you remember, I was away. It's not a good idea to keep perishables while you're gone. Unless you want a biology project growing in your fridge when you return. Instead. Ta da." She waggled the bottled. "Sauce in a jar."He took the bottle from her hand and matched the ingredients with what was in his cookbook. "Thyme. Uh huh. Peppers, onions. Good. What's natural flavoring? It's not listed in your cookbook." "Better you not know."Thall furrowed his brow and handed back the jar."Let me get dressed and we'll go get some groceries because I'm guessing this isn't going to impress you." She reached into another cupboard and pulled out a box. "Cake in a box.""Cake. In a box?" He followed her to her bedroom. "You eat cake from a box?"She laughed and kicked her shoes into the closet. "On a bad day, Thall, I'll eat the icing right out of the can."He hunched his shoulder, scratched his head then crossed the room to her dresser. Reaching down, he pulled open the fourth draw and pulled out her red silk bustier. He turned and held it out. "Why don't you wear this?""Grocery shopping?"He nodded.Capri fumbled on how to reply then released a sigh of exasperation. "You do mean under my clothes and not just that?"
This is the recipe he was trying to follow.

Spaghetti with Sauce (Plain or With Meat)
olive oil - extra virgin is best
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt ground pepper
1 6 oz can tomato paste
2 32 oz cans tomato sauce
1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced and sautéed in butter (optional – I dislike mushrooms so they rarely go in my sauce)1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef – sautéed (optional – this recipe works meatless as well)
parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Directions: Brown onion and garlic in olive oil with bay leaves, oregano, basil, Italian Seasoning, salt and pepper. (If you are using the ground beef and mushrooms – sauté them separately then add to onion/garlic mixture.)  Add tomato paste, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. This keeps so can make on weekend to have on Monday.

Closer to dinner time. Cook spaghetti. Whip up a Caesar Salad. Heat oven and cook garlic toast. Open a bottle of a nice Chianti.
Serve 1 of 2 ways – 1. drain cooked spaghetti and toss into sauce. Mix well. Place on a serve platter. Cover with Parmesan. Or – 2. Drain spaghetti. Place in a bowl. Pour sauce into a bowl and cover with Parmesan.
