When I call you beautiful
I am not only complimenting
on how you look, but what’s on
the inside of your mind,
your hands, your body,
and how you are able to hold
so much of the world
on your shoulders without
letting it weigh you down.
So when I call you beautiful
don’t think that I am only
complimenting on how you look
today, or everyday of the week,
but remember that what I am
trying to say is so much more
than the word itself.
