From "Seared With Scars"

This snippet from the 2nd Freak House Trilogy is Charity’s opinion of Samuel when she sees him leaning against the wall:

I’d grown used to him not wearing a waistcoat or jacket, yet seeing him in just his crisp white shirt and trousers took my breath away. His tie was loose, revealing a triangle of smooth skin at his throat that I could have stared at all day. If angels were real, they would resemble Samuel at that moment. Or perhaps he was a fallen angel since an air of brooding darkness clung to him.
