Nine Things About JB Miller.

Today we have the amazing author JB Miller.  I have to tell you I am a fan of JB as a person and a writer.  She is so funny and her sense of humor carries over in her writing.  So, without further ado, here are nine things about JB Miller.

KD:  Do you have a new release coming out? What is the title of the book?

JB:  Sure do! My newest release is called Fae Dominance and it is out on April 1st. And I promise it's not an April fool's joke!

KD:  What is your book about?

JB:  Eeek… this is where it gets hard. You can write a book but giving a blurb? Now that’s hard!
This book is not for the faint of heart.
It contains group sex, orgies, BDSM and of course some hot MM loving.

This book is a MM romance but has scenes of MFF, and other multiples that are secondary characters and not the main hero's
It also contains scenes of abuse and torture the baddie is really a baddie! and remember the Fae are not a cuddly race!

Robin and Kale are not getting along and Dia has had enough. She tells them to get their act together or its over.
In a bid for more time Robin pulls Kale into Fae.
The idea was to have a few weeks to get to know each other, fight a little, love a lot.... and come back a happy little duo.
Really, The Puck should have known better.
Fall into Fae with the boys for three weeks of murder, torture, betrayal and mayhem.
After all this is the land of the Fae we are talking about.
Ohhh, and the loving.. lets not forget the loving!
This book is not for the faint of heart.
It contains group sex, orgies, BDSM and of course some MM hot loving.  Here is the blurb.

KD:  Who are the hero(s) and heroin(s)?

JB?  Well… The two main Characters are Robin and Kale… But there are some new guys making an appearance… Oberon King of the Fae just happen to be one of them.

KD:  Did you base your main characters on someone that you know?

JB:  Ummm, Do the people that live in my head count?
If not… then no, they are not based on living, breathing people. Well not any that I am allowed to disclose. There is a whole other world out there that people just are not ready for… in my head... yeah in my head...

KD:  Do you have an excerpt that you can share with us?

EXCERPT:

The Fae folding ability took some getting used to. It was instantaneous but nerve racking. Jumping from one place to the other in the blink of an eye did not come naturally to most.

Robin had brought us to what looked like an average bar. That is if your tastes ran to fantastical punk. It wouldn’t be my first choice for a lad’s night out, saying that it wasn’t half-bad either.
We stood just inside the entrance, which was impressive in its own right. There were large dark double doors with intricate carvings and iron hinges. Yeah, it could handle a siege or two.

The entry faced the bar, which was the length of the room. I could see the rich marble and dark oak of it from here. The back wall was covered in mirrors and glass hung from every available surface. It even had pulls for pints. I could definitely go for a pint about now. The rest of the room was a dance floor and several couples swayed in one another’s arms.

Surprisingly, the music was soft and soothing. At the back of the room were two doors that I assumed were toilets but I did not see any signs for gender. “Where do those lead,” I asked Robin.

“Heaven and Hell, my friend,” he grinned boyishly. “Heaven and Hell. We will get there later. What do you say we have a drink first?”

“Oh, yeah, I could most definitely go for a drink right now.” I threw an arm over his shoulder and we headed to the bar.

Half an hour later and I was feeling the buzz.
What the hell was in this, I wondered. The drink that Robin had given me seemed mild enough but it kicked like a mule.

“Man, that packs one hell of a punch, mate,” I repeated aloud. “What is it?” I asked him.

“Fae wine,” Robin replied.

“I am sure you have heard of its effect on those that are not Fae?”
“Yeah, but I had never really believed the hype,” I laughed.

I had only had a couple of glasses but the edges were well and truly taken off. When we had entered the club, Robin had ordered for the both of us. The drinks he had requested had been sweet without the obvious hint of alcohol so I had not taken too much notice.

I should have known better.
“I should really be upset but damn, man, I just can’t bring myself to care, not even one little fuck.” I laughed while throwing my arm around the smaller male and pulling him close. “Shall we have another?” I asked Robin while I drained the glass.

He looked at me with calculating eyes before he responded, “Are you sure you want to imbibe more wine wolf? Fae drink has more effects than just a loss of inhibitions. It also increases ones hidden desires.”

“Sure, why not,” I shrugged. “I can control myself, faery. What about you?” I teased him. “Are you up to proving your legendary control,” I smirked. If anything, the Puck was renowned for his erratic and mischievous nature. Control often played little part in the stories told about him. “How do you feel about a wager, my Fae friend?”

KD:  Who is your all time favorite character from one of your books?

JB:  I can't tell you too much about him. But it's Cernunnos. Do not ever tell Robin because Robin is my Favorite.. but there is something extra special about Cernunnos. You will have to wait for Dianthe Hunting to find out why though.

KD:  When did you first get into writing?

JB:  As a serious thing, last year. My little girl was born in Sept. 2012 and she was only a few months old when a very good friend of mine Connie Suttle gave me that little added push to write. I had always loved to write and books are my escape. I fell in love with Connie's work and got to know her over facebook. We became friends in real life and thanks to her I became brave enough to write Dianthe Rising. The only thing that sucks is now that we are both writing I don’t get the chance to chat to her as much as I would like!

KD:  Do you have a writing ritual that you follow? (Eat, drink, music, sock monkey?)

JB:  Honestly, Nope.
I have to be in the mood to write. I cannot force it. Tried and it turns out badly for everyone. I always have things going on in my head and I kind of just let it flow out my fingers and onto the keys. While I was writing Fae Dominance, I did listen to Frozen's soundtrack several times… Hehe.. Let it go was a key song to a bondage scene.
But one thing I tend to do, if I am really into a scene, I close my eyes and type with my eyes shut. It plays out like a movie in my mind and just let it flow. Saying that if the lights are out and I cant see the key board I couldn’t type a word to save my life.

KD:  What is something that would surprise your readers to know about you?

JB:  Umm, would anyone be surprised by anything I did?
That would surprise me! However, I grew up a very introverted, shy girl. I covered it up by being very strong willed and outgoing. I know, it sounds insane, but that’s what I did! I was terrified of people and how they would see me. So I had to be brash and in the spotlight without being seen at the same time. It wasn’t until I was much older that I came out of my shell to be the crazy person I am today. Now, I don’t care what people think... I am still headstrong and outgoing. I will speak to anyone and as I was often told as a child, "I swear Brandy; you would talk the hind leg off a donkey."
BTW… Im still waiting for that to happen!

Parting words from JD Miller:
I hope you liked my ranting's.. Hehe…
And the stories that go along with them! I am always interested to hear from people! My mama used to say to me, "Brandy, you don’t know what a stranger is!"
I would reply... "Sure I do Mama! It’s a friend you haven’t met yet!"
She gave up trying to change my mind years ago.
