Deleted Interlude from Words of Radiance
For your reading pleasure, here is an interlude that I decided to cut from Words of Radiance. It offers new insight into a minor character who is very important to the book, and I believe that readers will want to experience it.
It is called Interlude: Stick.

i can see why this guy got chopped from the main text. his portrayal is somewhat wooden.
The Legendary Stick. The first character to completely and utterly steamroll Shallan into frustrated submission. I love this guy.

Good stuff!I love how the question throws the whole character off balance. There's more going on here than we realize... It's like the real personality is in there somewhere, struggling to get out, but the outlying personality ruthlessly bashes it back into submission.
Stick and Hodor could have been friends
I feel as though the character could have been explored further. However, the complexities of Stick's internal dialogue is fascinating! I can't wait to see more of this character, and I hope you do Stick justice in future books.
I think Stick's parents would be proud of the Stick that they've raised. So proud.
I think Stick needs a transformation....

With additional character developement and growth, maybe a chapter titled "I am a branch" and eventually "I am a tree" by book 10.
