New poll shows evangelical Americans real-world effects of handing keys to extremists

I've used the sitcom test before, but it seems like a fitting time to do it again. Take characters like Mitch and Cam from Modern Family and replace them with the equivalent of a Tony Perkins or a Bryan Fischer from the evangelical America. The story lines wouldn't be as sympathetic, would they? The plots wouldn't be as light and friendly, right?
