I did something a little brave today – visited my local bookstores to ask if they’d stock HOPE & put it on display. I always feel a little embarrassed to do such things but nowadays us writers must promote ourselves, so such things need to be done. Then, I walked into Heffers (a Cambridge institution) & found that they’d already stocked it, without my request – how lovely! It left me smiling all day
