Goodreads on Chrome

Is it just me or are other people experiencing loading issues when it comes to viewing Goodreads pages on Google Chrome. For weeks now, nearly every page on Goodreads that I try to load stalls, and sometimes prompting the page to reload/refresh has to be done more than once.

It's annoying as hell and it never happened when I used Firefox. I've tried adjusting settings, disabling all extensions, even turning off my firewall for a few minutes, and nothing works.

If anyone has any tips, I'd sure appreciate it, because so far Goodreads and Google have been no help at all.

Pardon, Mr. Fox, but are you still having this issue? I have been experiencing the same and I agree that it is frustrating (to say the least)! The 'Literary Darkness' group led me to your profile page and so I saw this post of yours.

You are sure to have cleared your cache and your cookies, I would imagine...

Could you be using any technical devices inside your home which might be re-routing your servers (say, to access programs or channels located in other countries)? I so happen to and have been advised to check this out.

Otherwise, methinks it is a "Google Chrome" update issue. I dread whenever a software company comes along with an 'update': 'screw-updates' is more like it. ;)

Best wishes with this--and with your writing as well.

Gef It is still occurring, though not quite to the degree that it was a month ago. Since that time I have uninstalled Chrome and re-installed it--twice--and deactivated all extensions. No fancy apps or devices to interfere with the connection, either. I'm left to conclude it is most definitely a Google issue and they appear in no rush to address it.
