CJ Roberts Work in Progress (WIP)
My Dearest Readers,
I know many of you have been wondering what I am working on, when it will be out, and if Agent Reed from Seduced in the Dark will be making an appearance. I finally feel confident enough to supply you with answers to these questions.
I'll begin by letting you know that I WILL NOT be publishing the Agent Reed spin-off this year. The fact of the matter is - I'm just not feeling it. I was, at one point, but life has a way of throwing you off course once you engage the cruise control. I realize many of you, including myself, are very disappointed by this news. However, my writing process is organic - I don't outline, I don't 'set things in stone' - I have to feel the material. I never know what I'm going to write when I sit down in front of my laptop and when I try to force it...I don't like what comes out. That said, I won't say there will never be an Agent Reed book - I'm saying he'll be worth the wait once he gets off his ass and into my dreams.
So what am I working on and when will it be out? Well, I'm working on a different kind of book. For over a year I have had an idea to write a novel about a married woman contemplating the murder of her husband.
Take a peek and let me know what you think. I'm dying to know.

Thanks for sharing this CJ. I liked the inner thoughts and the dynamics of being a couple and the irritating reality of scrubbing a pot, which should not have needed to be scrubbed. How every little thing starts to matter in a relationship when things are not OK. The bed scene, the reluctance to be close, the not wanting to give in, feels to real for comfort, like it.
Agent Reed must still still tied up lol but new book sounds Amazing and I'm in :DD
Forget Agent Reed at this point... lol. Your new idea had my eyes lighten up. OMG this sounds like a great read. I'm excited to live vicariously through this wife!
The Commitment excerpt....... All I can say is Holy Cow.....whoa, Can't wait for that to be out this fall. Intense.

this Commitment novel sounds good. I enjoyed the excerpt. thumbs up! Its scary, sexy and interesting.

Interesting concept, however, that short read made me pity the heroine. She seems spiteful and ungrateful. I am curious to learn why she hate her husband so much because it seems she's not giving all she can into the relationship herself. All in all, this excerpt made me curious enough to want to read more!

Yeah, this was a tough call for me. I really wanted that Reed book as much as all of you, but I just couldn't 'get it up'. Been a rough (and sometimes wonderful) year for me, so I've changed and my writing always reflects that.

Right on! I'm curious to see how it evolves too. I never know where the characters are going to take me. We're ALL playing wait and see. Good times.

As for Maya - two sides to every coin and story. Though I'm sure you're correct in many respects.

I am definitely curious! You are very talented. Can't wait to enter the madness and be consumed by these characters. I am sure you are going to make me feel crazy for wanting something that is totally against all that is normal.
I can understand and thank you for letting us know and my selfish side says I hope he enters your dream soon. What you written has satisfied many and I'm thankful for what you have done so thank you ~ it will be worth the wait if it does come out :0)

damn girl, I'm beyond curious now. I won't say that I feel bad for the husband because I don't know what he did yet or if she's a bit nuts but this excerpt made me really excited! :)
