Getting Fit!

Have you ever worked with a personal trainer? I hadn't until last week. I was nervous. Was this guy going to yell at me the way you see on TV? Would he be soft spoken and encouraging? How would he make me do what I don't want to do?
Simple, just the look. The watching and the, "How many did you do?" My answer. "15." His reply, "You've got 5 more. Let's go."
Near the end of an hour workout, I do admit, when his back is turned, I stop whatever task I was assigned, pant and wonder why the hell I'm torturing myself. Then he turns around and its back at it like I never stopped. OMG, it's like the longest, yet shortest hour of my life. When I get home, I fall onto the couch and it takes every aching muscle to get me back up again, and I think, in a few weeks this will be so worth it! I really hope it is.
Last week, I felt like I had broken ribs if I laughed or sneezed. OUCH!
However, as I sat on the toilet (TMI, sorry), I had a smaller role in my midsection. Which in turn put a smile on my face. The pain did something. *high five!*
I'm working out with a group of women with the trainer. I'm impressed we all came back for day 2 last week, now to see if we all return for day 3 tomorrow. On top of this torture to my body, I am staying on my gym schedule as well. Hopefully in a few weeks, it starts to pay off.

Happy Monday! You've got this! -Lacey
