Showing My Inner Geek: Air Force Research

Had another whirlwind weekend. Friday night we went to Cirque Du Soleil, followed by dinner right on the water at False Creek. Saturday I cleaned up the house and yard to get ready for my RWA chapter summer get together on Sunday. Then a bit of a monkey wrench.

We were supposed to go to the air show just before lunch, but due to hubby having to go into the office for a few hours, that didn't happen. By the time he finished up, we had less than two hours left before the show closed. I was not i...

Nissie Lambert Kaylea, you handled the situation a lot better than I would have! I don't know if I would have remembered how to speak, much less any specific questions :). But it sounds like it was a lot of fun and a great experience!
Love the photos BTW!

Kaylea Cross Hi Nissie. Thanks, but I'm still disappointed in myself :) I think seeing him in his flight suit like that made my heart go all aflutter. Better luck next year, huh?

Nissie Lambert Hi,Kaylea! Just one more quick word. Part of my job is actually sewing flightsuits. Some are for military,EMTs,Air Care staff, etc. And since I have a hyper-active imagination, it's a pretty interesting job :)! So seeing one in person would probably make me lose my mind!

Kaylea Cross Cool! If you sewed this one, you did a good job because I almost did lose my mind :)

I dunno, there's something about a man in uniform that makes me all weak in the knees. Now, if he'd been a Pararescue Jumper, I'm not sure what I would have done. I'd have been beside myself!

Nissie Lambert LOL! What is it about those uniforms?! I've seen men in uniform that made my mouth water and I know I wouldn't have given them a second glance had they been in regular clothes. Maybe it's the whole "hero" aspect! :)

Kaylea Cross I think you've nailed it, Nissie. I was thinking the same thing the other day about firemen. I've yet to see an ugly one, but maybe in street clothes they wouldn't have the same appeal. Weird!

Nissie Lambert I grew up with a guy who was always kind of a geek. We lost touch for several years and when I saw him again he was a cop-in uniform. I thought "Man,he grew up NICE!" But did he? Really?
