Monday Book Lines :: The Orphan and the Thief

Every Monday I’m going to be pulling an image that showcases a moment in one of my books, along with an excerpt. None of these images (unless otherwise stated) are mine.

From THE ORPHAN AND THE THIEF:

8a62a83903e09822d301e3dfa0cb1e84“Why aren’t Spit-Fires bigger?” [Toad] said aloud.

Melena looked up from her map. “Sorry?”

“Spit-Fires,” he said, pointing at Hazel as she did a figure eight. “Why are they so small? Why can’t they breed bigger ones that can pull carriages? Just think of how much faster this would all be. Jump in a buggy and off we fly!”

I know that’s Santa’s sleigh, but it was too perfect to ignore.

THE ORPHAN AND THE THIEF is on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords.
