Why Take A Class With Megan Falley?


Megan Falley is the author of two full-length collections of poetry, “After the Witch Hunt” (2012) and the forthcoming “Redhead and the Slaughter King” (2014). Both manuscripts were selected winners of the Write Bloody Publishing Open Book Competition. Falley was a featured poet on TV One’s “Verses & Flow” which films in Los Angeles. Her work has appeared in Pen Center USA’s “The Rattling Wall”, Red Beard Press’s “The Uncommon Core”, as well as literary journals including The Nervous Breakdown, PANK, Vinyl, decomP, >kill author, The Legendary, The Literary Bohemian, and more. Her work has been featured on IndieFeed’s performance poetry podcast several times. In 2012 Falley went on a 100 day cross-country book tour and performed over forty live shows. Graduating from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing in 2010, Falley was the sole recipient for the Tomaselli Award for Poetry. In 2013 she was a featured poet in Muzzle Magazines “30 Poets Under 30” where she was deemed “The Metaphorical Daughter of Sexton and Ginsberg.” Falley has lived in New York for her entire wild life.
