I would save so much time if I stopped mathing* myself into a corner whilst plotting.

*Mathing: To complicate the ages of characters vis-à-vis past story events due to incorrect calculations (SHE WAS 6 WHEN HER MOM DIED AND HER MOM WAS 19 WHEN SHE HAD HER SO HER MOM WAS 24 WHEN SHE DIED wait no thats wrong but WAIT NO SHE NEEDS TO BE 25 WHICH MEANS SHE WAS 7 WHEN SHE DIED AND 18 WHEN SHE HAD HER AND AND AND WHAT) until you’re just sitting at your desk surrounded by numbers and calculators and tears.
