"No, Clock. Look."
One moment they were sitting next to each other on the grass and the next Bucket was on top of him, his eyes blazing with so much hurt, so much intensity. “I’m not just something you kick when you feel like it,” he said angrily. 
"Whoa, hey, I know… It’s just Lamp—"
"I know you’re wound up over her, but I didn’t come here for Lamp. She’s bright. She’s beautiful. But she isn’t what I want."
"What do you want?" Clock whispered. 
"There’s a hole inside me. Henry couldn’t fix it. Liza tried. I think you could be different." 
"Me?"
Bucket sighed. “You always did run a little slow.”
