Some WIP fanart for the YA novel Legend, by Marie Lu! I’m planning to color in these headshots, and then make go run with these designs to make a full page illustration if it goes well. :P
She has her own art on DA, so I feel a bit nervous about my own interpretations of her characters, but this is fun!
Reading the Legend trilogy really actually felt like watching an anime/reading a manga to me, so I opted for a more manga-inspired rendition of June and Day. I like the Javert/Valjean relationship between the two heroes, so perhaps I can come up with a cool poster-like illustration of the two. ^^b (You can even imagine it’s really a comic, hehe.)
It’s been a while since I’ve reblogged! I saw this and just squee’d from the cute. Soo good. That little bandaid on Day’s face! June’s faint blush! Love.
