Hello!
First blog posts must always draw attention to themselves. It's the rules. Not that I care for the rules, being the renegade maverick scribblesmith that I am... but yes, sometimes you just have to do the thing that is the thing people do, don't you?
My first picture book The Yes will be available to buy across the land in about 36 hours. This is very exciting, although I have a degree of anticipation fatigue - something I'm sure many authors (and musicians and artists and all) have experienced. You get it from being excited, and being asked if you're excited, for a bit too long. But it does, in turn, induce a particular kind of humble gratitude. (I have chosen to skate blithely past the miserable self-pitying oh-my-yacht-has-only-one-jacuzzi bit.)
Come back hither for more of this, less of this, and other things. Always other things. These shall include my own book, other people's books, writing, thinking, saying things and all the other things. Hurray!
