March 2, 2014: Those Personality Quiz Results! Bookly matters!

A mere 125+ of you have taken the ultimate Personality Quiz I uploaded yesterday (March 1, 2014: Yet another personality quiz!).  Those of you have taken the time can attest to the fact that the results are uncannily accurate.  Nay, eerily so!  The results so far…

Roughly one third of those who took the quiz ended up with Mario Batali’s Apron.  No surprise there.

Another third split their results three ways, ending up as either Crab Nebula, Mince Pie or, of course, Christmas Ornament.

These results are followed by a respectable scattering of Sloe Gin, Dalek, Omega 3 Fish Oil, and The Declaration of Independence.

As for the rest, it’s a mixed albeit telling bag made up of: Toilet Paper Roll, Old Lottery Ticket, George Clooney in that movie where he’s chasing down the terrorists, Turnip, Maureen’s Office Chair, Pyjama Bottoms, and MacBeth.  Surprisingly, not a Mazda Sonata or Bookmark in the bunch!

What are the rest of you waiting for?  Afraid the results will hit a little too close to him?

A reminder for you to finish up reading our February Book of the Month Club selection, Terms of Enlistment by Marko Kloos.  Gather your thoughts for tomorrow’s discussion!

On the subjects of books, my sister brought this to my attention: 22 Books You Should Read Now, Based On Your Childhood Favorites.  Enjoyed the Harry Potter series?  Apparently Lev Grossman’s The Magicians is the book for you.  Fond memories of The Phantom Tollbooth?   Then check out Neil Gaiman’s Stardust.  I’m not sure if Neuromancer is the most appropriate adult follow-up to Ender’s Game, or The Orphan Master’s Son the logical successor to Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, but there are some interesting suggestions in the mix.  Thoughts?
