My inability to count, but let's try 10

10 Things I've learned though writing L&J

1. So, I have discovered I start my sentences with SO and WELL with frequency in dialogue because I say them in real life as such.
2. WELL is equal to ENTONCES in Spanish (at least in my mind) which I also overuse in my Spanish.
3. I thought I was writing one book, no series.
4. I discovered I was writing two, end of series.
5. I think I might be writing three. Damn, a trilogy?
6. It's easy to let OCD rule and be glued to Amazon and GRs checking reviews every hour on the hour.
7. Not doing #6 leads to less stress and more writing.
8. There are some really nice people out there in book world. (Carol)
9. Reading good books makes me want to do whatever it takes to be a better writer. I say this on the heels of reading Kiss the Sky. Freaking brilliant.
10. Between seven years spent working in a kitchen with either a knife or tongs in my hands for eight hours each day, and typing an excessive amount in college, I believe writing romance novels may just be the straw that broke the carpel tunnel's back.
11. Though I've tempered my potty mouth in real life, my inner monologue includes the F bomb or some other cuss word in almost every sentence/thought. And I'm OK with that.
12. I can't count. But, whatever...

Melinda I completely agree with you on 1 and 2. I I find myself going back and taking so out of the beginning of sentences all the time (like I had to with the post).

I'm glad you're writing a trilogy though because I'm enjoying L and J too much for there to have only been 1 book :)

Emily Eck I have the outline in my head for Elle and J's story, but when I actually sit down to type it, crazy stuff comes out of my fingers! The plot doesn't change. I've just found in writing it, opportunities present themselves to add pieces that enhance the story. I'm almost done and will be sending it your way soon. Hopefully in the next week or so.
So, that's about it :)
