HarperCollins sent me a link to her APM portfolio page to approve for the book covers and I said "yes" after one glance. I even tweaked Kate's eye color in the book because Michelle's were so beautiful that I thought it merited the change since she would be gracing the cover. (Kate's eyes were blue-gray before. Now they're blue-green.)
I will be posting the book cover on my website as soon as I get it, which should be a week or so, but if you give me an email address for you or Michelle I will send it to her first! (you can send it to amy@amyplumbooks.com)
Thanks so much for contacting me. I was intrigued by this girl who was embodying Kate on my book cover, and it's a such a treat to hear from you!
Susan wrote: "My daughter just did the shoot a couple of weeks ago for the cover of your book coming out next year! We are so excited and cannot wait to see it and to read the books! Keep us posted on the prog..."

I laughed particularly hard when I read:
'The last time someone else had done my makeup, I had ended up looking like a cross between an alien and Lady Gaga with a hangover.
“Trust us,” Melissa responded. “You look great.”'
Can I add that to my favorite quotes?
And ... I am with Lawrence: I am sure the interview didn't look as bad as you've thought. Your editor wants to make money with your book. So she won't allow you to be displayed as a complete idiot. But I do understand your concern: You might not look and sound like the you you know you are. And I wish they had let you wear the shirts you feel comfortable in.
