D-Day 6 juni 1944

Just finished this World War II drawing for the museum. I chose to draw D-Day.  I was impressed years ago by the opening scene of 'Saving private Ryan'.  This was probably the widest front of the Second World War. American, British and Canadian soldiers were our liberators, for which they still deserve respect. Many soldiers lost their lives on that beach, for a war that was in essence not theirs.
