Never Enough

I know. I don’t post here enough.

What I really want is a Tumblr front end for my own WP blog. I should look into that.

Anyways, now that I’m here, I should probably fill you folks in on what’s been going on.

1) Surgery. Minor surgery but a major inconvenience for the last month of recovery and the month before that when the problem was noted but un-fixable. That sucked. Drain on energy (both mental and physical).

2) Project meltdown. My day job is writing, novels even, but that’s all I can say in specific about the nature of the exact project. However, I can say that my last manuscript needs revisions and in a speedy manner. I’m currently waiting on my notes on the plot so that I can move forward with the revisions. And I’ll also note that it’s a hell of a lot easier to change the outline than the final, so by all means, profit from my mistake and change your outline before you set it all into breathless and perfect prose (which it won’t be; you need to rewrite). I’m actually waiting for the next wave to break on this, so expect me to go back underground once that wave hits.

3) BLUE HIGHWAY is undergoing edits at the hands of Marty Halpern, who gets it. Does this mean that the current BLUE HIGHWAY manuscript on CreateSpace is a terrible thing? No, but there’s certainly a few errors that don’t belong there, as well as some vagaries that need sharpening. I expect that the edited book will cleave pretty closely to what’s up right now, so don’t panic. No idea on time-frame for the final. I have to survive revisions to the current day-job book which pays the bills, and then I imagine that I’ll have to launch into the next day-job book pretty soon after that.

4) I’ve got a story that I wrote for Blizzard Entertainment’s DIABLO universe that’ll be coming out shortly, whenever the next DIABLO expansion set launches. 3/25 if memory serves.

5) I’ll post some unpopular writing advice sometime soon. I don’t expect it to be well-received. But then I took the advice like a bastard, myself.

6) “Who’s in charge here?” “You are Number Six.”

Right. Now to find a more streamlined front end for WP posting.
